Roger was Mike's best friend and he became a traitor. Roger escaped from Alcatraz. Janis got shot. Mike got shot. Janis was a excellent marksman. Many people were hired to kill the captain. The Phobos was blown up. The Australia was blown up. The admiral was in on the conspiracy. Christine was the youngest captain. The aliens from Lercowa helped the US.
What are some of the major themes of this book? Betrayal, love, revenge, friendship. Of all these, I think the most dominant was betrayal.
In your own words, how did the setting of the story made it more interesting. The battles had to be at sea as the story revolves around the navy. I think it was especially interesting to read how the battle scenes played out in the water.
